Developed in 1972 by Jefferson Savings and Loan, the Village of Jefferson is a well established, family oriented community less than a 20 minute easy drive south from St. Louis. The Village of Jefferson offers all the convenience of close-in living with the peaceful, natural beauty of being in the country.

A planned, community development situated on 47 acres of gently rolling, open meadows and naturally wooded areas highlighted by a beautiful, expansive picnic grove, flowing year 'round creek, huge lower ballfield area and upper greens recently dedicated "The Ron Sanders Memorial Park" in honor to our late, association president. Additionally, many of the homes back to or are sided by lush greenbelts and naturally wooded areas. ​

Since 1972, 582 families have called the Village home. We're on our second generation of original residents with many children who've grown up here, now returning to buy a home in the Village. They recognize the Village as a very comfortable, safe and affordable community within which to raise their families.

Among the many amenities our residents enjoy lighted streets, street maintenance with snow removal, common ground maintenance and more. Situated in unincorporated Jefferson County we have low taxes, no city tax; a top rated fire protection and school district with a public elementary, early school within our subdivision; easy highway access in all directions; large, modern county library within walking distance and so much more. Residents benefit from a competitive choice in dish and cable TV providers along with high speed, broadband internet services. The community has 911 emergency services and is routinely patrolled by the Jefferson County Police Department.
